This cardboard specification relates to all cardboard received at E Team Ltd. This covers:

  • Loose
  • Small bales
  • Mill-sized bales
  • Skip/Compactor loads

Customers should produce material which meets the following specifications within the tolerances set out below.

Mill-sized bales should contain uniform material to meet the material specification.

5% Tolerance

  • Newspapers
  • Magazines and pamphlets
  • Grey and brown carton board
  • Kraft paper
  • White office paper
  • Printers waste
  • Envelopes
  • Catalogues
  • Books
  • Telephone directories
  • Soft cores

Unwanted Material

There is no tolerance for any of the following and loads may be subject to a handling/disposal fee if present:

  • Metals
  • Cans
  • Plastic bottles and cups
  • Plastic film/polystyrene
  • Plastic rigids
  • Any other plastic
  • Pallet strapping
  • Wall paper
  • Wax/Label Paper
  • Carbon paper
  • Tetrapak
  • Self-adhesive paper
  • Hand Towels
  • Tissue paper

Prohibitive

There is no tolerance for any of the following and loads may be rejected if present:

  • Food Waste
  • Egg cartons/boxes
  • Garden Waste
  • Gloves
  • Medical Hygiene Waste
  • Hazardous Materials (e.g. paint, chemicals, oil, asbestos)
  • Nappies
  • Concrete, soil, stone and brick
  • Glass
  • Bitumen
  • Wood & pallets
  • Electrical equipment/cable
  • Textiles
  • Rubber
  • Batteries

Cleanliness: Material must be free of dirt, grit, fire damage and should not be mouldy

Moisture: Cardboard should be kept dry and could be subject to moisture claims if wet
